Football violence has been only really associated with men or masculine traits.  But with the evolution of family areas and more females, regardless of age, getting involved in the game, will we see a change in the predominently male involvement in disorder?

The attachment of male masculinity to football hooliganism has been observed for decades.  Blamed on such things as the industrial revolution and a need to express frustration, through to the second World War and men coming back to a post Victorian environment where the women had 'men's jobs'  and had encountered a sexual revolution courtesy of American and Canadian troups.  Is this true?

This is an area that FROUK would like to get into, and we welcome comments and offers to research this area, which we will supervise.
