The 'House' and
'Toolbox' Theory
.
  By Robin Manser

Life accumulation

Family, knowledge of reality in a culture, family etc.

Upper Floor

Realisation of protection, feelings, love and trust through relationships and friendships.  Religious faith, may be strongly grasped, where not before.

1st Floor

Experiences, confrontation of earlier fears, or aspirations.   At this stage a mid life concern is met with a 'make or break' situation.  Realisation of own desire for togetherness (engagement/marriage/children) and realisation of death are often observed

Ground Floor

The most poignant period.  What has life meant so far? Guilt, morality, acceptance, religiousness, faithfulness and all forms of questioning our previous years take place here.

Play Room

Our most devious period.  Where we sub-consciously decide how we are going to make the world right, 'exact our revenge'.

Basement

Informative period, where we are groomed, take on our parents/guardians culture and beliefs.  Here we learn to disobey, believe or disbelieve and here we are the 'blotting paper'.

What happens here is soaked up.
